Bulldogs Bang Out 9-5 Win Versus Texas A&M
Mississippi State center fielder Mike Rizzo was instrumental in his team's 9-5 win over the Texas A&M Aggies. Rizzo, who is tied for 6th in the RDL in hits with 57, went 1-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bulldogs. Jamal Gainey earned the win for Mississippi State. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 3-3. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 21-20 with this latest triumph.

J.P. Pinkerton aided the Mississippi State cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a double and a walk.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Pinkerton, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
