Houston center fielder Brian Martin was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Arizona Wildcats. Martin, who leads the RDL in stolen bases with 22, went 1-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cougars. The Cougars bumped their record to 22-19 with this latest triumph.
Martin contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Houston in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Martin took a changeup from Chris DiGiovanna and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Cougars to leap in front, 5-4.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Arizona manager Zak Buchanan.
