Buckeyes Get Past Georgia for 6-5 Win
|
Ohio State shortstop Kurt Bittinger was instrumental in his team's 6-5 win over the Georgia Bulldogs. Bittinger went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Buckeyes. The 5th-place Buckeyes have won 7 consecutive games.
Joe Ezell was the walk-off hero for Ohio State. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Buckeyes catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Bittinger, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
