Yellow Jackets Get Past Miami for 3-2 Win
|
The Yellow Jackets had to overcome a good performance from Miami pitcher Gabe George to claim a 3-2 win at Gremlins Ballpark. George went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Georgia Tech reliever Josh Neuhaus picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Curt Mohs was saddled with the loss. The Yellow Jackets bumped their record to 24-17 with this latest triumph.
The Yellow Jackets got a big at-bat from shortstop Ross Worsham. For the game, Worsham was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Georgia Tech a 3-2 lead.
Worsham called the win "a collective effort."
