Hufnagel Hits 2 home runs in Salukis Win
|
South Illinois second baseman Mike Hufnagel was instrumental in his team's 7-1 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks. Hufnagel went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Salukis. Jim Thomazin earned the win for South Illinois. He lasted 6 innings, allowing no earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 2-3. Earning his 2nd save for South Illinois was Jim Noble.
