Golden Bears Continue Skid Thanks to Boone, Horned Frogs
|
TCU catcher Eric Boone was instrumental in his team's 11-5 win over the California Golden Bears. Boone went 3-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Horned Frogs. California's current losing streak is now 6 games.
Jason Hollander hit a 2-run double off Ernie Spencer in the bottom of the first, which put the Horned Frogs in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Hollander had 1 single and 2 walks, while going 2 for 3.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Hollander, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
