Sooners Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Despite a great performance by Virginia center fielder Eric Kilpatrick, the Oklahoma Sooners defeated the Cavaliers by the score of 4-3 at Biglerville College Fields. Kilpatrick went 4-5 with 3 doubles and a walk. The winner was Andy Parsons in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jon Moore took the loss. The Sooners bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Oklahoma first baseman Joe Neel, facing Mark Lochmann, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Sooners the 4-3 win.
"This place was rockin'," said Neel.
