Tight Tilt Goes to Titans, 4-3
|
Cal State Fullerton beat South Mississippi at Hartford College Grounds, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Zach Hicks, who earned player of the game honors. The Titans bumped their record to 22-18 with this latest triumph.
The Titans got a big at-bat from center fielder Andrew Stenger. For the game, Stenger went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Cal State Fullerton a 3-2 lead.
"I felt good up there," said Stenger. "I saw the ball well."
