Georgia beat Vanderbilt at Field of the Plunder, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Mike Martin, who earned player of the game honors. A.J. Schneider earned the save, his 13th, for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs now own a record of 18-22.

Ryan Gooch, who is tied for 4th in the SBL in stolen bases with 9, aided the Georgia cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Vanderbilt manager Álex Negrón said following the tough loss.
