Ragin Cajuns Mow Down Cougars, 9-3
|
The Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns bested the Washington State Cougars by a score of 9-3, with shortstop Brendan Kellogg getting the main credit. On the day, Kellogg went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Ragin Cajuns. Bryan Lee earned the win for Louisiana-Layfayette. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1. The Ragin Cajuns bumped their record to 22-18 with this latest triumph.
Kellogg had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Ragin Cajuns went on to win.
