Demon Deacans Bang Out 8-1 Win Versus Georgia
|
Wake Forest played host to Georgia at the friendly confines of Cypress Quarters College Grounds.
The Wake Forest Demon Deacans defeated the Georgia Bulldogs, 8-1. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Bill Goodwill, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Justin Hill recorded the save for Wake Forest, his 2nd of the season.
Goodwill had a key at-bat for Wake Forest early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and gave Wake Forest an early 2-0 lead.
"We'll savor this win," Goodwill told the Wake Forest Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
The Demon Deacans bumped their record to 20-19 with this latest triumph.
