Bulldogs Deal Bulldogs Painful Loss
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Eric Russ was the difference-maker. The Fresno State right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 2-1 win. The winner was Jeff Shue in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eric Novaria took the loss. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 26-12 with this latest triumph.
Jeremy Carter was the walk-off hero for Fresno State. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulldogs pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Russ told the Fresno State Times.
