Perkins Leads Charge, Indiana State Blasts Hurricanes
The Indiana State Sycamores clobbered the Miami Hurricanes, 15-2, at Gremlins Ballpark today. Indiana State third baseman Dave Perkins was named player of the game for his productive day. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 7. The Sycamores bumped their record to 25-13 with this latest triumph.

Perkins had a key at-bat for Indiana State early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and gave Indiana State an early 4-0 lead.

"We did a lot of things right," said Perkins.
