LSU Wins, Herring goes 4-for-6
|
The LSU Tigers topped the TCU Horned Frogs, 12-4, with shortstop Troy Herring playing a big role. Herring went 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 times for the Tigers in the win. Sean Christmas closed it out for his 1st save. The Tigers bumped their record to 20-18 with this latest triumph.
Rickey Moses, who is tied for 4th in the RDL in hits with 53, aided the LSU cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Herring said.
