Bulldogs Bang Out 6-5 Win Versus Oregon
|
Mississippi State beat Oregon at Crowley College Grounds, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Brian Wild, who earned player of the game honors. Getting the save was Devonte Lebeaux, his 10th. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 19-18 with this latest triumph.
J.P. Pinkerton aided the Mississippi State cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-2.
"We take it day by day here," said Wild, "and today was a good one for us."
