|
Miami beat Kansas at Brutes Ballpark, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Jared Delgado, who earned player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Delgado, now 1-3. He tossed 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. Miami is now 14-23, while Kansas is 17-20.
Zach Davis, who is tied for 2nd in the SBL in doubles with 13, aided the Miami cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3.
"We take it day by day here," said Davis, "and today was a good one for us."
