Green Wave Walk Off with 1-0 Win

The Green Wave grabbed a win, 1-0, at Berthoud College Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Long Beach State pitcher Art Hall. Hall went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The winner was Tulane reliever Troy King, now 1-0. The loser was Brian Purdy. Even with the win, the Green Wave have a dismal 11-25 record.
Tulane first baseman Mike Stacy delivered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. Overall, he went 3 for 4, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 1.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Stacy said.
