Sun Devils Rally For Late Win Over Ducks
Both teams had their chances, but the Arizona State Sun Devils eventually prevailed at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College.

The Arizona State Sun Devils turned back the Oregon Ducks, 6-5, at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. Greg Matthews was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Sun Devils move to 16-19 with the win, while the Ducks drop to 18-17.

Matthews had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-1 changeup from Eric Coates, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Sun Devils a 6-5 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Matthews.

"This place was jumping at the end," Matthews said.
