Yellow Jackets Rally For Late Win Over Demon Deacans
Despite a fine performance by right fielder Bill Goodwill, the Wake Forest Demon Deacans suffered a 4-3 loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Goodwill went 2-4 with a home run. Angel Anaya picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Vic Horn was tagged with the loss. The save went to Steven Wood, his 9th this season.

The Yellow Jackets got a big at-bat from shortstop Colin Popp. For the game, Popp was 1-2 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Georgia Tech a 4-3 lead.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Popp said.

The Demon Deacans, at 18-17, have lost 4 in a row.
