Golden Eagles Bang Out 6-0 Win Versus Stanford
The South Mississippi Golden Eagles topped the Stanford Cardinals, 6-0, with third baseman John Rose playing a big role. Rose was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Golden Eagles in the win. The Golden Eagles have an impressive 22-12 record.

The Golden Eagles got a big at-bat from catcher Danny Stepp. For the game, Stepp was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season gave South Mississippi a 1-0 lead.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Rose.
