Stacy goes 3-for-4 as Green Wave Squeeze Past Mississippi State
The Tulane Green Wave topped the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 8-7, with first baseman Mike Stacy playing a big role. Stacy went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Green Wave in the win. Tulane reliever Michael Dare was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Dusty Frankford took the loss. Troy King closed it out for his 5th save.

Stacy contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Tulane in the bottom of the sixth. With his team trailing 7-4, Stacy took a fastball from Dusty Frankford and stroked the home run to left. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Green Wave to leap in front, 8-7.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Green Wave manager Carlos Garza. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

Even with the win, the Green Wave have a dismal 10-24 record.
