Riding the 3-hit performance of the 19-year old first baseman Jose Lopez, the Florida Gators stopped the Wake Forest Demon Deacans, 8-2. Jason Klein, the winner, improved to 3-0. He held Wake Forest to no earned runs on 3 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The save was Dave Parsons's, his 4th.
