Sooners Prevail, 3-1, Over Auburn
|
Oklahoma starter Kyle Larson pitched effectively against the Auburn Tigers at Biglerville College Fields. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. In 5 innings, Larson surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Sooners bumped their record to 18-16 with this latest triumph.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but Zachary Schultz didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Auburn trailing 3-1, Schultz retired Adam Bertron to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Schultz, with a wink.
