Green Wave Need Extra Frames to Get Past Owls
Tulane designated hitter Brian Goodman was instrumental in his team's 9-6 win over the Rice Owls. Goodman went 3-6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Green Wave. Even with the win, the Green Wave have a dismal 9-24 record.

Matt Kelly had the most critical at-bat for Tulane. With no one in the top of the 14th inning, Kelly hit a 0-1 cutter from Kyle Longest for a run-scoring triple. It put Tulane in front, 7-6.

"Enjoyed this one," Goodman told the Tulane Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
