Whitsitt Slugs 49'ers to 6-1 Win
The Long Beach State 49'ers topped the Stanford Cardinals by the score of 6-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Keith Whitsitt. Whitsitt was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the 49'ers on the day. Matt Connors, credited with the win, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 5.1 innings.
