Guerrero Helps Bruins Run Win Streak to 4
UCLA and South Mississippi duked it out at Ballpark of Storm Lake College and the Bruins came out victorious.

Marco Guerrero led UCLA to a triumph over South Mississippi. The final score was 9-7. The right fielder went 4 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 1 run and added 2 RBI. UCLA reliever Jim Bigler was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. King Caston took the loss for South Mississippi.

UCLA used the bat of D.J. Chester to get the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Bruins ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Chester said.

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Bruins.
