Rizzo Helps Bulldogs Run Win Streak to 3
Mike Rizzo made an impact in the 10-6 Mississippi State win over Long Beach State. Rizzo, who is tied for 9th in the RDL in hits with 44, went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Mississippi State reliever Nick Lane, now 1-0. The loser was Brandon Christopher. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 17-15 with this latest triumph.

Rizzo had a key at-bat for Mississippi State early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and gave Mississippi State an early 2-0 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rizzo said.
