Commodores Win at Kansas, 4-1
|
The Vanderbilt Commodores got a strong performance from pitcher John Cox, who stymied the Kansas offense en route to a 4-1 win at Brutes Ballpark. The Commodores bumped their record to 19-13 with this latest triumph.
David Wilson was a key contributor to the win for the Commodores. In the top of the second with two out, the light-hitting center fielder stroked a single to center. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Wilson told the Vanderbilt Gazette. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
