Taylor goes 3-for-5 to Power Razorbacks Offense

Arkansas and Vanderbilt took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Arkansas Razorbacks topped the Vanderbilt Commodores, 9-4, with youngster Andrew Taylor playing a key role. Taylor went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Razorbacks in the win. Kenny Bahr got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Commodores to 4 earned runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The save was credited to Paul Wadden, his 4th.
Brad Mathews, who is rated as the 77th best prospect by BNN, chipped in for Arkansas with a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Mathews.
The 20th-place Razorbacks improved to 13-18.
