Wolverines Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hurricanes
Michigan and Miami took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Michigan Wolverines picked up a win at Siege Ballpark, knocking off the Miami Hurricanes, 8-7. Starting pitcher Evan Thomas played a key role in the triumph. Michigan reliever Bobby Guess was the winner. His record is now 2-2. The losing pitcher was Curt Mohs.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when Michigan third baseman Shawn Keate, facing Curt Mohs, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Wolverines the 8-7 win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Thomas.

The 14th-place Wolverines improved to 15-16.
