Longhorns Continue Skid Thanks to Valtin, Bulldogs
|
The first-place Fresno State Bulldogs welcomed Texas to Brooks College Grounds.
The Fresno State Bulldogs trumped the Texas Longhorns, 14-8, at Brooks College Grounds. Fresno State first baseman Will Valtin was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Danny Jensen, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Jimmy Landry hit a bases-clearing triple off Andy Robisch in the bottom of the first, which put the Bulldogs in front, 3-2. Landry had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Landry said.
Texas has now lost 4 straight.
