The Cabo San Lucas Toreros topped the Vancouver Pioneers, 9-5, with shortstop Junzo Takenaka playing a big role. Takenaka went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Toreros in the win. Luis Sánchez picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 5 in 7 innings. Cabo San Lucas is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 7 games.
