Janes hits 2 home runs as Green Wave Squeeze Past California
The Tulane Green Wave grabbed a 7-6 win over the California Golden Bears at Berthoud College Grounds. Tulane center fielder Danny Janes went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 to earn player of the game honors. Earning his 4th save of the year was Troy King. Even with the win, the Green Wave have a dismal 8-20 record.

Early in the game, left fielder Travis Bachi had a 2-run home run for Tulane. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Green Wave on top, 2-0.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Janes told a Tulane Today reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
