The Texas A&M Aggies defeated the UCLA Bruins, 4-3, at Ballpark of Shiprock College. Texas A&M third baseman Tim Cagle was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Casey Beach, who threw 81 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 2 hits.
