The Arkansas Razorbacks downed the South Illinois Salukis, 7-1, at Ramparts Ballpark. Juan Canales led the way, going 1-for-4 for Arkansas. The winner was Nick Weitzner in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Tom Scholten took the loss. Earning his 1st save of the year was Mike Secondino.

Canales had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Razorbacks went on to win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Canales. "And not try to do too much."

Arkansas is in 18th place in the Ron Fraser Division with a record of 12-16.
