Erik Fletcher pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Indiana State Sycamores, despite Fletcher's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Castles Ballpark. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Georgia Tech.
Jamie Fisher, who is tied for 9th in the SBL in doubles with 7, aided the Georgia Tech cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Fisher said.
