Buckeyes Win at Michigan, 8-6
|
The Ohio State Buckeyes outlasted Emmanuel Ealey and the Michigan Wolverines, 8-6. Ealey was impressive in the loss. The Michigan center fielder was 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Ohio State reliever Jeremy Hebert picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-2. Bobby Guess was collared with the loss. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Ohio State.
The Buckeyes got a big at-bat from center fielder Ruben Madrid. For the game, Madrid went 1 for 2 with 3 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 14th hit of the season gave Ohio State a 8-6 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Madrid said.
