The Cal State Fullerton Titans got a stellar performance from pitcher Mike Moran, who handcuffed the Mississippi State offense en route to a 6-2 win at Hartford College Grounds. Moran, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. The Titans bumped their record to 15-12 with this latest triumph.
The Titans picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Moran said.
