The Georgia Grays got a superb performance from right fielder Danilo Cannavaro. Still, it wasn't enough to beat South Carolina. The Bombers won the game, 7-5. In spite of the loss, Cannavaro was named the player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Bombers.

Ed Armstrong recorded a big out in the bottom of the ninth. Georgia was trailing 7-5. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Armstrong retired Javier Cortés when Cortés hit into a double play.
