Greg Matthews was instrumental in his team's 8-2 triumph over the Oregon State Beavers. The catcher was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Jeremiah Williams, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 1-2. "You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Jackson told the Arizona State Today.
