Commodores Win in Glorious Fashion
Well, that's how to end a game in style.

Vanderbilt Commodores starter David Swint was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Michigan Wolverines, 2-1. Vanderbilt reliever Steve Higgins picked up the win to move to 1-1. Israel Galindo suffered the loss.

The Commodores got a big at-bat from third baseman Brent Biernacki. For the game, Biernacki was 1-5 with a walk. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 37th hit of the season gave Vanderbilt a 2-1 lead.

"I believe in our guys," said Vanderbilt skipper Álex Negrón. "I like the energy they're playing with."
