Florida State starter Lance Crumpton pitched effectively against the Iowa State Cyclones at Ballpark of Riverdale College. The right-hander led his team to a 6-1 win. Florida State now has a 4-game win streak.

The Seminoles got a big at-bat from left fielder Gene Moffat. For the game, Moffat went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Florida State a 2-1 lead.
