Beavers Turn Back Cal State Fullerton, 5-3
|
The Oregon State Beavers topped the Cal State Fullerton Titans, 5-3, with youngster Hugh Zeigler playing a key role. Zeigler went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Beavers in the win. The 16th-place Beavers are now 10-13, the Titans 13-10.
Zeigler had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Beavers went on to win.
"I really like what we did out there today," Zeigler said after the game.
