The Long Beach State 49'ers topped the Baylor Bears, 9-3, with youngster Billy Renfroe playing a key role. Renfroe went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the 49'ers in the win. The 49'ers bumped their record to 12-11 with this latest triumph.

Renfroe had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The 49'ers went on to win.

"I really like what we did out there today," Renfroe said after the game.
