Isaacs Excels, But Commodores Win
The Missouri Tigers got a superb performance from right fielder Josh Isaacs. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Vanderbilt. The Commodores won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Isaacs was named the player of the game. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Vanderbilt reliever Kyle Harless picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jared Isom was saddled with the loss. The Commodores bumped their record to 11-11 with this latest triumph.

Had Tom Harvey not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Harvey hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Commodores.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Harvey told reporters after the game.
