Cabo San Lucas rode a good effort from starter Masazumi Ohayashi to beat the Mile High Mustangs at Field de Los Layendas. The final score was 3-1. Amirtharaj Nagaraja notched his 16th save in 19 chances. Cabo San Lucas is now 28-43.

Had José Pérez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Pérez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Toreros.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Pérez said.
