Longhorns Topple Cougars with Late Rally

Starting pitcher Joe Arnt pitched well enough to help the Texas Longhorns beat the Washington State Cougars by the score of 6-5. Texas reliever Jonathan Adams picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Eric Martindale was saddled with the loss. With the victory, the Longhorns record now stands at 10-12.
The Longhorns got a big at-bat from first baseman Corey Montanye. For the game, Montanye was 1 for 5 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Texas a 6-5 lead.
In comments to the Texas Daily News, Montanye admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
