Cyclones Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Georgia Tech
|
Iowa State Cyclones starter Ayden Dixon was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 7-3. Dixon, now 2-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Jeremiah Fletcher locked down his 1st save.
Jeremiah Spidell aided the Iowa State cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the catcher went 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Spidell.
The Cyclones bumped their record to 11-10 with this latest triumph.
