The Cabo San Lucas Toreros got a superb performance from pitcher Ju-ao Ru, but the Georgia Grays still won the game, 4-3. Ru was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings allowing 4 runs. Dao-zi Chou, the winner, improved to 1-4. He held Cabo San Lucas to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Even with the win, the Grays have a dismal 24-45 record.
With one out in the bottom of the first, Salvador Ramos stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put Georgia in front, 2-1.
