Multi-HR Game for Hicks in 5-4 Win
|
The Cal State Fullerton Titans bested the California Golden Bears, 5-4, at Prisoners Ballpark. Zach Hicks was named player of the game. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. California's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
Had Hicks not come through in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Hicks drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Titans never looked back after taking the 5-4 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Cal State Fullerton manager Jeffrey Woodruff.
